Clinical Council Updates
NICU Clinical Council
- Prenatal documentation of fetal risk factors should be documented in the Prenatal Risk Factors component to relay information to Newborn Provider after delivery. Anyone who is part of the care team (RN, NNP, MD) may enter to ensure information is captured. Click here to view the Job Aid for additional information.
Ambulatory CIS Council
- Effective 8/14. Non-formulary medication administration charge - the Administration Charge field will now be added to the Non-Formulary Medication order details.
- Effective 8/15. Cardiovascular order updates - Nuclear Medicine Myocardial Perfusion orders and other Nuclear Medicine Cardiology orders will now start with CV in the title. Holter and Event Monitor orders will now all be included in one order. These will be future orders.
- Effective 9/15. Infectious disease questions will be modified to be more inclusive to all communicable diseases instead of just Covid-19. These questions exist in many PowerForms and will be updated in all. These questions will also be turned off in the scheduling and check in components. More information to come.

Breakthrough Cures for Hepatitis C Still Fail to Reach Vast Majority of Americans
It’s estimated more than 2 million people in the United States have hepatitis C, which if left untreated, often leads to serious and sometimes deadly outcomes such as liver cancer and liver failure. Despite the existence of a safe and highly effective oral cure for hepatitis C, the infection contributed to the deaths of more than 14,800 people in 2020. Click here to read more.
